Energy powers homes, hospitals, farms and factories. We want to supply it in a way that is safe for our people, fair to the communities around us, and ready for the cleaner fuels that come next. Our value of Accountability means we take responsibility for our decisions and our results, and always put safety first.
Our commitments
Safety first (HSE)
Health, safety and environment procedures at stations, depots, trucks and offshore delivery, including spill response, emergency preparedness and waste management policies.
Solar-powered stations
Solar panels cut reliance on the grid and on diesel generators, and so reduce emissions and running costs. Almost half of our stations already run on solar, and the plan is for every station to be solar powered.
Cleaner and new energy
Lower-sulphur products for Nigeria and West Africa, EV charging points starting to roll out at selected stations, power-as-a-service in phases, and L-CNG skids so customers can buy LNG or CNG at the forecourt.
Safe, tracked transport
Every truck in the fleet carries GPS and telematics, and crews are trained for safe handling and delivery.
Local people
Station, delivery and operations teams are recruited from the communities we serve, with more than 500 people across the group.
The Better Life initiative
Training, apprenticeships, mentorship and grassroots literacy programmes, launched in Tanzania.
Governance
Transparency, compliance and environmental, social and governance criteria aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
