A Nigerian platform with a global supply line.
MEA Energy Trading, established in 2023, is the Group’s Nigerian platform. It joins international supply from MEA Global to local distribution, across the whole chain: importing, storage, haulage, wholesale, commercial and industrial supply, retail and last-mile delivery. Group turnover is USD 700M+.
Sourcing
Gulf to Africa supply through the Group’s international network.
Trading
Import and wholesale.
Storage
Tank-farm partners keep product close to demand today. We plan to acquire our own storage.
Logistics
An owned fleet runs by road under MEA Logistics and Transportation.
Retail
A network of 43 MEA stations (26 active, 17 in development) across every geopolitical zone.
Gas
MEA Gas takes LNG, CNG and LPG to customers beyond the grid.
Our own storage, an LPG terminal and more.
Today, tank-farm partners keep product close to demand. We plan to acquire our own storage and to build an LPG terminal, so that more of the chain from vessel to pump sits in our own hands.
Own storage:
We plan to acquire storage tanks in key locations, so product waits close to our stations and customers.
LPG terminal:
A planned LPG receiving and storage terminal in Lagos, to supply our stations, Go N' Fill and commercial customers.
Mini-LNG plant:
Planned by MEA Gas, to carry Gas to customers the pipeline does not reach.
Stations:
A network growing from 43 (26 active, 17 in development) to up to 200 within three years.
The largest energy market in Africa is only getting started.
Nigeria has more than 230 million people and is the most populous country in Africa. The United Nations expects it to reach ~359 million by 2050. The median age is under 20, so demand for transport, power, cooking fuel and goods will keep rising. It is the largest economy in West Africa. The fuel subsidy has ended, the exchange rate has been unified and the Petroleum Industry Act has opened the downstream sector to private companies.
Nigeria holds ~37.5 billion barrels of proven Oil and condensate reserves and ~215 trillion cubic feet of proven Gas reserves, enough for decades of growth. The 650,000-barrel-a-day Dangote Refinery is changing how fuel reaches the market. MEA buys from and works closely with the Dangote Refinery.
Africa is the world’s next great energy market.
Africa has ~1.5 billion people today and is expected to reach ~2.5 billion by 2050. The African Continental Free Trade Area joins 54 countries into one market. Nigeria sits on the Atlantic coast, with ships reaching Europe and the Americas without crossing a canal or a strait. It is the largest market on the west coast, so cargoes can come in and go out on the same voyage.
The most dynamic energy Group, creating enduring value across generations.
We want to be the most dynamic energy Group, creating enduring value across generations. Our mission is to deliver what the world depends on, through innovation and operational excellence. In Nigeria, that means owning more of the chain from vessel to pump, and building it to last.
Stations
43 in total (26 active, 17 in development), a target of 70 signed by end-December 2026 and up to 200 within three years, by 2029.
Assets
We plan our own storage and an LPG terminal, because we mean to be more than a trading house.
Fleet
289 trucks by end-December 2026 and over 500 by end-2027.
Technology
Data-driven stations, tracked trucks and analytics that help every link in the chain work harder.
Every stage of energy
We are downstream today, with midstream Gas and upstream under way.
L.E.A.P: how we work.
Four values guide every decision we make, from the boardroom to the forecourt.
Leadership
We set the direction, take the first step and lead by example.
Excellence
We hold ourselves to the highest standard in everything we deliver.
Accountability
We own our promises and we own our results.
Partnership
We grow together with our customers, suppliers, communities and each other, and we are stronger for it.
The people behind MEA in Nigeria.
MEA Energy Trading is led by an experienced management team and guided by a Board with decades of senior leadership in law, finance, Oil and Gas and energy.
Growing with the communities we serve.
- Solar-powered stations reduce grid and diesel-generator reliance, emissions and running cost. Solar power is already at work in our stations, and the plan is for every station to use it.
- Cleaner fuels: lower-sulphur products for cleaner air.
- Local hiring: station, delivery and operations teams come from the communities we serve.
- Safety first: HSE policies, spill response, waste management and emergency preparedness protect people and places alike.
- Better Life Initiative: training, apprenticeships, mentorship and grassroots literacy programmes, launched in Nigeria.

What one name gives us
One name now stands behind every company and every department in the Group. That means the parent company, MEA Energy Trading, MEA Energy Niger, MEA Gas, MEA Logistics and Transportation, Go N' Fill, Agricliq and the teams that support them.

Better brand recognition
Put one name on every station, truck, contract and cargo, and people spot it sooner and remember it longer.
One household name
A single name that motorists, families, farmers and businesses across West Africa come to know and trust, from the forecourt to the delivery truck.
One industry name
Banks, suppliers, national Oil companies and trading houses see one identity in the Oil, Gas and commodities industry: one Group, one track record, one standard.
Clearer for partners
Trading, retail, logistics, Gas and delivery now sit under one recognisable name, so nobody has to work out which entity does what.
A shared reputation
Every station opened, cargo delivered and project completed builds the same brand. What we earn in one business strengthens all the others.
One team, one culture
One name behind every department brings teams in Dubai, Nigeria and Niger together around the same values: Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Partnership.
Contracts, bank details and obligations continue unchanged under the new name. Updated documents are available from the Group office.
