Why counterparties trust the Group
Scale
USD 700M+ turnover, approximately 200,000 metric tonnes traded a month, more than 500 people and offices in Dubai, Sharjah, Lagos and Niamey. Our leadership brings 30+ years in Oil and Gas.
Self-funded
Every subsidiary stands on the Group's own resources, and so does our growth in stations, trucks and Gas.
Assets on the ground
You can see our assets on the ground: 43 stations across Nigeria, solar power at many of them, storage partnerships near demand, and a fleet growing to 289 trucks by end-December 2026.
Supply security
We buy from and work closely with the Dangote Refinery. We also buy from other refineries, national Oil companies and international traders, so we never depend on one source alone. Eleven trading hubs in five countries keep product close to customers around the world, and bunkering and offshore supply through partner vessels and barges keep it moving.
Controls
Good trade rests on good control. A dedicated finance and treasury function under the Group CFO looks after banking relationships, liquidity and working-capital planning, financial reporting and tax. Retail, logistics and trading run on one integrated ERP platform on Microsoft Dynamics, and internal audit tests the controls independently.
Governance and compliance
Governance rests on the Board of MEA Energy Trading Limited, whose directors bring decades of senior leadership in law, finance, Oil and Gas and energy. Legal, compliance, sanctions screening and internal audit report to the Board. Price and counterparty risk are managed by the trading team, with hedging built into supply contracts.
