Who we are

This website is run by MEA Global Trading FZC ("MEA", "we"). We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: info@mea-energy.com.

What we collect

The details you give us in forms (name, company, role, email, phone, country, message); CVs and application details when you apply for a job; technical data such as device, browser, pages visited and approximate location from your internet address; your region and language choice; and your precise location only if you press "near me" on the station locator and allow it.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To answer your enquiry or quote request; to process job applications; to run, secure and improve the website; to show the right region and language; and to meet legal duties such as sanctions and know-your-customer checks. We rely on your consent (cookies that are not essential, location, optional updates), our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, a contract or steps you ask us to take, and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Other MEA group companies; service providers who host, secure or help us run the website and forms, under contract; professional advisers; banks and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

MEA operates in the UAE, Nigeria and Niger and works with partners in other countries. When data leaves your country, we use contracts and safeguards that the applicable law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and job applications are kept only for as long as we need them, unless you agree to a longer period.

Your rights

You may ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to its use, move it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Write to the privacy contact above. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Laws that apply

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 for the Nigeria site; Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the protection of personal data (UAE) for the UAE and Global sites; the applicable data protection law of Niger for the Niger site; and the GDPR for visitors in the European Union and the UK where it applies.

Security, children and changes

We use technical and organisational measures to protect data. The website is not for children under 16. We will post changes here with a new date.
